I've tried to make this post a few times, but the truth is, I don't really understand enough about feminist ethics, care-based morality (what I'm thinking about in particular here), or the present middle east crisis, to make an intelligent posting.
So all I'll say is that I think it's absolutely ridiculous what people can do to each other and what people think they can justify doing to each other. I don't understand it. If someone can provide some insight from the standpoint of care-based morality and justice-based morality, please do. I am particularly interested in how any type of 'moral thinking/system' can lead to the types of actions carried out by Israel, Hezbollah, and others involved. And how can any type of 'moral thinking/system' allow someone (certain world leaders) to pick sides in this escalating situation. And finally, what insights do 'care-based morality' or feminist ethics provide (especially when a care-based moralist is up against violent attacks).
I know this post is only borderline-relevant to this site, but it's been on my mind, and I felt like I should post something.
